DEAD

Imagine a blue crab losing one of its cheliped appendage it uses for defense and obtaining food, will it survive the tide, on its own? Today at school, I have seen a dozen of amputated cheliped-less blue crabs. It's a wonder how they have managed to swim through the shallow seas and survive the tides.
It's very easy to give up and let go when situations become unmanageable and problems become extraordinarily insurmountable. People get discouraged and discouragement is simply the despair of a wounded heart. I can see rescue vessels conveying every hopeless soul and giving extra life to every wounded heart. I am afraid that anytime soon the ship might sink.
It doesn't matter if you are a defenseless blue crab. When you get crippled, your are not permanently lame. It doesn't matter if you have a wounded heart. It matters a lot however if you choose to be forever conveyed in a tiny vessel.
Students struggle in the academe. They fail several times and stand many chances. Chances are opportunities to redeem themselves and to get back on track. Some are like defenseless blue crabs with determined efforts to survive the tides. Some who are in despair will keep on destroying their own conveyors. Temporarily they are rescued, but a broken vessel will never reach the safe harbor.
To win a battle you have to fight. A soldier is born to fight even with a wounded heart. No one gets remedied until the fight is over. An amputated cheliped-less blue crab, with an exceptional adaptation, will survive even in the toughest environment. No one will cause you to ride in triumph but yourself.
